I noticed a large spike in traffic last night, and after looking at my logs it seems like there is a new spider in town. somewhere around 2am, “Moreoverbot/5.00 (+http://www.moreover.com)” pulled down my rss feed and some posts from a multitude of IP addresses. I wonder why.
Kinda back. got the server back running. argh. soo much reading and homework still to do. apache2 still seems to spawn too much, so well fuck. i might have to mess with it here and there.
Writing this post feels very familiar… in any case I am thinking that I am going to be switching back to alexthegradstudent.blogspot.com even though the overhead to insert pictures is higher, I will be less annoyed with the server and the sort this quarter. School is starting soon, so getting ready for that. bbq this afternoon. other fun shit soon.
Well here we go. Attempt number one starts tomorrow, and I am less than thrilled. I feel like i have no idea how to do science, and well quite overwhelmed about all of this. Though it could just be the whole no normal point of reference, but i feel quite in over my head. …(time lapse of an hour)… ok I should finish writing this instead of not. well Met my room mate. he is from byu. this i think will be an interesting year. he is all about growing plants, and like peas, and pineapples. so umm yeah… quals tomorrow. oh fuck. nap time, so see you all around.

I guess what I am trying to say is that I am a long way from home.
I am oncampus and I have been noticeing that blog.bluie.shell.la is much slower than i expected. I guess that comes from being at home with 100mbit to the server. meh. I am thinking about switching to the blogger/wp account so that I dont have to deal with it.
On other notes, Things are getting in order and orientating begins on monday. oh fuck.
San diego has been cloudier than I expected, but I have not really noticed that much as that I have just been studying for the quals. Might as well begin the madness now.
On the project front, i have stalled a bit. I have been trying to get www2 online. but it has been problematic as that that vpn solutions that I keep looking for keep failing. meh. I guess it will work at some point. bind is also being funny at times needing some major “force-rebooting”
campus is different. so are the people. I cannot wait for the physics, but I am running away from the exams. meh.
I am doing laundry tonight and getting some snack food at vons. and probably some beer or OH of some sort. I am still getting use to this whole more relaxed society that california has. I need a bike. and living room furnature.

I was hoping to writing something about the last week. But I am still spining, and wondering if the left foot will be landing near to the right foot. I am headed onto campus tomorrow to get the rest of things in order. I made some mac and cheese for dinner/ lunch tomorrow.
The internet is less than optimal, but it is still nice to have access. Internet is really a necesity these days. If i dont accidently kill my connection, I will see you tomorrow.
